Frederick "Fred" McKinley, 80, passed away on January 26, 2019 after a brief illness.

He was born February 16, 1938 in Delaware County to Russell and Viola (Minnick) McKinley. Fred was a 1956 graduate of Eaton High School and he went on to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force during Korea and Vietnam.

Fred worked for General Motors in Muncie for over 32 years retiring in 1998. For many years, he own and operated McKinley Lawn Care and served as a youth leader at Eaton Church of God. Recently Fred attended the First Baptist Church in Eaton.

Fred enjoyed sports and loved to coach Little League. He coached all ages during his 35 year coaching career.

His loving family include his wife of 15 years, Marry (Frogge) Jones McKinley; his children: Susan Frost (Randy), Jan (House) Walker, Sharon Jones, Dorrie Lopez (John), and Steven Jones; a sister, Joan Umberger; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by wives; Phyllis E. (Bailey) McKinley, and Beverly M. (Jett) McKinley; a son, Bub Bailey; three brothers: Donald McKinley, Jack McKinley, and Tom McKinley and two sisters, Wilma Linn and Mary Jane Tharp.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Mark Wilkerson officiating. Burial with Military Funeral Honors will be held at Gardens of Memory.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29th at the funeral home. Additional visitation will take place on Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
