Bertha Lorena Conyers died on October 4, 2018 at her home. She was born to Clarence Carl 'Pete' and Ruby Myrtle Warner. She was born in Muncie Indiana on May 28, 1937. She lived in Eaton and attended school there, graduating from high school in 1955. She married Phillip E. Conyers on Feb 8, 1955.


Bertha and Phil had 4 children. In 1960, they moved their family to Tulare, Ca. Her brother, Ralph lived there and told them about the opportunities in Calif. Bertha and Phil raised their family there. She worked at Josten's American Yearbook, retiring in 2002. They returned to this area in 2015.


Besides Phillip, she is survived by her children, Nancy Shook and husband Gary of Visalia, Ca., Phil Jay and wife Kathy Conyers of Knox, Ind., John and wife Frances Conyers of San Antonio, Texas, and Surona and husband Randy Johnston of Tulare, Cal. She had 8 grandchildren, Brian and wife Lea Shook of Stillwater, Okla., Tami Lack and husband David of Tulare, Ca, Thomas and wife Julie Shook of Tulare, Ca. Jonathan Conyers, who passed away in 2006, Jeffrey and wife Lauren Conyers of Houston, Texas, Cassandra Hearn and husband John of Visalia, Ca., and Cody Johnston of Tulare, Ca, and Tina Casey. She had 9 great grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah, and Matthew Shook. Dawson and Jude Lack, Sebastian, Gideon, and Penelope Shook, Jaxon and Emma Hearn. Her brothers, Ralph and Jimmy Warner have passed away, also her sister Joanna Wright. Her brother Ronnie Warner of Hartford City, and Connie Eppard of Eaton survive her. She had many family and friends who were also dear to her.


A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6 ,2018 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton.


Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 p.m.
