Betty A. Gibson, (McLaughlin), died peacefully in Tucson, Arizona on 30 November, 2017 at the age of 97.

Born on December 8, 1919, in Huntington County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Otis and Mary Mongel McLaughlin. She attended Lafayette Central High School and Ball State Teacher's College in Muncie, Indiana. She was employed as a laboratory technician at the Caylor-Nickel Clinic in Bluffton, Indiana. She was married on March 16, 1947 to Delbert Gibson of Eaton, Indiana, who died on July 4, 2001.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs Gailyn (John) Conser of St David, Arizona; two sons, Dean Gibson of Albuquerque, New Mexico and J. Duane (Robin) Gibson of Tucson, Arizona; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters; Lois Kimmer, Myrtle Reece, Mildred Purcell and Lucille Edris.

Betty was an accomplished musician who enjoyed singing and playing the piano/organ at the Eaton United Methodist Church. She also worked as primary and middle school secretary for the Delta Community School Corporation.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Roger Walby officiating. Burial will follow at Eaton Union Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the services from 9:00 - 11:00 at the funeral home.
