Brenda Kay Buntin, 64, passed on Sunday, September 4th, 2022 at Envive of Hartford City after an extended illness.

Brenda was born on December 16, 1957 in Chillecothe, Ohio to William "Bill" and Vina Ann (Eblin) Barnes. She attended school in Ohio and later attended Ivy Tech.

On May 15, 1992, Brenda Barnes and Jerry Buntin wed and together they made their life in Eaton.

Brenda loved flower gardening, drawing, writing poetry, camping, hiking, spending time at the park with Sparky and spending time with her family. Many around town remember Brenda driving her truck with Sparky on her lap with his head out the window. He was her boy.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jerry Buntin; son, Gregory Gilland; daughter, Janet Edie (Greg); brother, Robert Barnes (Heidi); sister, Janet Miller (Jack); three grandchildren and her nieces and nephews as well.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her son, Michael Gilland; her brother, Roscoe "Bill" Barnes (Terry) and a sister Diana Kay Barnes.

Brenda will be cremated and private services will be held at a later date.

Pitman-Richman Funeral Home of Eaton is entrusted with arrangements.
