Bruce E. Stacey, 75, passed away on December 2, 2023, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.


Bruce was born in Muncie on November 5, 1948, to Junior and Velma (Shaffer) Stacey. He graduated from Eaton High School in 1967 and served his country in the US Army, serving two tours in Vietnam. On December 16, 1977, he married Linda K. Ingels in Muncie.


Bruce worked for Norfolk and Southern Railroad as a track supervisor for over 28 years, retiring in 2003.


He could always be found working outside. He loved his garden and enjoyed playing golf. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.


Bruce served on the board of Eaton Union Cemetery for over 10 years.


He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Stacey; two sons: Ryan Bell (Stacy) of Portland, Indiana and Randy Bell (Kennedy) of Nashville, Tennessee; his brother, David Stacey (Lisa) of Fishers, IN; five grandchildren: Heather Bell, Erika Bell, Lindsey Sofronko (Austin), Hailey Ayala, and Jason Ayala; sister-in-law, Vicki Brandenburg (Tom); brother-in-law, Jack Ingels; two aunts, Sharon Mitchell and Sharon Shaffer, his niece, Andrea Courtney, as well as several cousins and friends.


Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Junior and Velma Stacey.


Per his request, Bruce will be laid to rest privately, at Eaton Union Cemetery.


His family will always remember him as a wonderful, caring, loving man who always put his family first.
