Dorothy (Goodman) Schroeder, 84, life resident of Delaware County, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at The Woodlands in Muncie.

The daughter of Herbert and Georgia (Rathle) Wright, Dorothy was born on March 7, 1932 in Eaton. She attended Eaton schools and married Onzil Lester Goodman in 1953. His death occurred in December 1983. In 1992, Dorothy married Richard Schroeder.

Dorothy worked for Midwest Metal for many years, retiring in 1997.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Jeffery Sutliff (Angie) of Muncie, and JR Sutliff (Ellen) of Muncie, her brother, Eugene Wright, four step-children: Onzie, Rita, Norma, and Sue, three great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Lester Goodman, second husband, Richard Schroeder, daughter, Diana Sutliff, four brothers: Oren Wright, Fred Wright, Louie Wright, and William Hurley, seven sisters: Kay Chism, Becky Eppard, Ellen Krischer, Alberta Clark, Betty Connor, Judy Egaly, and Sara Wolf, and a step-son, Roger.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton. Burial will be made privately in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 11-1 pm on Saturday, prior to the funeral service.
