Esther E. Kirby, 74, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following complications from surgery.

Esther was born on February 2, 1947 in Mendon, Ohio to Alfred "Red" and Ada Rosetta (Berry) Daniels. She graduated from Mendon High School and married Don Patrick Kirby on December 30, 1972.

Esther was a long-time member of True Light Baptist Church in Muncie and worked several jobs over the years including time at Lifetouch and Colony Printing.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Pat Kirby; two daughters, Veronica Keihn (Randy) and Victoria Myers (Rebecca Hammond); her brother, Lewis Daniels (Elba); sister, Alice Bowling (David); four grandchildren: Allen Hill (Michelle), Kindra Swafford (John), Branden Hill (Stephanie) and Thomas Keihn; five great-grandchildren: Sarah Hill, Dale Hill, Ryleigh Swafford, Lee Hill and Erin Hill; several nieces and nephews and her cats that she adored.

In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Daniels and a sister, Jo Ann.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Eaton Union Cemetery Chapel 16301 N State Road 3, Eaton. Friends and family may gather prior to services Friday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
