Gladys Lorraine Modglin, 77, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Reid Hospital, Richmond.

Gladys was born in Plymouth, Indiana on August 10, 1948 to Leo and Marie (Stuntz) Kreigbaum. She was a 1966 graduate of Plymouth High School and earned her associate’s degree from South Bend College of Commerce. On February 6, 1971, she married Albert Modglin.

Gladys worked as a bookkeeper for Eaton Foods retiring after 23 years of employment.

Gladys will be remembered for her warm heart, kind spirit, and welcoming smile. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother who treasured time spent with family and friends. She especially enjoyed visiting with neighbors, playing cards, and was an active member of the Albany Euchre Club.

Survivors include her two sons: Henry Modglin (Heather) and Albert Modglin (Lisa); her sister, Elaine Smith; two grandchildren, Logan Modglin and Sydney Modglin; her nephew, Eric Smith and her niece, Adrienne Kreigbaum (Jansen).

In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Albert and her brother Duane Kreigbaum.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Roger Spitler officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 12:00 prior to services.
