Henry Dean Starrett, 72, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 at his residence after a long illness.


He was born October 19, 1945 in Muncie to William and Anna (White) Starrett and attended Eaton schools.


He worked as a welder at Dayton Steel, Muncie and had served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Henry was a member of Amvets, Royerton.


On December 20, 1980 he married Lucinda J. "Cindy" Walker and they lived several years in Robbins, TN.


Henry enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors. He was artistic and enjoyed drawing.


Survivors include his wife, Cindy, Hartford City; a daughter, Rebecca (Jeremy) Champ, Hartford City; two sons, Raymond (April) Starrett, Biloxi, MS and Henry Starrett, St. Louis, MO; a brother, Walter (Robin) Starrett, Eaton, 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his dog, Annabelle and 3 grand-dogs.


He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Joey and Jeremy Starrett, a daughter, Melissa Starrett and two sisters, Virginia Vinson and Barbara Wells.


Services will be private for the family with cremation following. Burial will be at a later time at Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery, Robbins, TN.


Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton is handling arrangements.
