James "Bo" Jennings, 70, passed away Sunday morning January 26, 2025, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 23, 1954, to Charles and Lois (Nicodemus) Jennings. The family moved to Muncie in 1962 where he graduated from Delta High School in 1972. He married his wife Cindy, July 19, 1975.
Bo loved his family fiercely and cherished time spent with them. He was a hard worker and always provided for them. He attended Eaton Church of God for over 50 years, where he played on several of their softball teams. One of his passions was coaching softball and he took great pride in leading Delta High School to the school's first sectional title. He was instrumental in building the Delta High School softball diamond.
The time he spent fishing and golfing with his grandson Brady was one of his greatest pleasures. Watching the grandkids sports was a favorite activity. He worked 20 years in construction at Farm Bureau Co-op and retired from New Castle Stainless Plate.
He leaves behind his wife Cindy; two daughters, Emily Brown (Jon Cayce) and Elise Studebaker (Kirk); and six grandchildren: Brady Jennings, Nevaeh Brown, Gabe Brown, Gideon Brown, Nash Brown, and Saul Brown. He is also survived by his brother Tim Jennings (DeAnna) and his sister, Cheryl Atkerson, along with several nieces and nephews.
Bo was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lois Jennings and his in-laws, Jim and Luella Linton.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Eaton Church of God 700 E Harris St., Eaton with Pastor Roger Spitler officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the Blackford County Animal Shelter or Eaton Church of God, c/o Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, PO Box 537 Eaton, IN 47338.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, Eaton.
