Jerry W. Withers, 62, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
Jerry was born on January 31, 1952 to Daniel and Stella (Dick) Withers in Hartford City. He attended school at Eaton and Delta High Schools.
He married Doris Teague on July 31, 1971 in Yorktown, Indiana.
Jerry had a great love of cars. He worked as a mechanic at Hartford Concrete, Robinson's and own his own business, Jerry's Garage.
Survivors include his wife, Doris of 43 years, two children, Troy (Angie) Withers, and Traci Maddy (fiancé, Don Chambers), two brothers, Richard (Barbara) Withers, and Johnny (Cathy) Withers, two sisters, Mary (Glen) Elam, and Linda Mason, a brother-in-law, Jimmy Hardin, four grandchildren, Kevin and Cory Maddy, and Kerissa and Kody Withers, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Stella Withers, a sister, Carolyn "Sue" Hardin and a son-in-law, Bub Maddy
A gathering for family and friends will be from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Eaton Church of God, Family Life Center, 700 E. Harris St., Eaton.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton.
