John David Stewart, 75, died on Tuesday, November 25, 2024, at Cardinal Care in Muncie.

John was born on August 3, 1949, to Willard and Ruby (Price) Stewart in Jamestown, Tennessee.

John worked as a die-maker for Indiana Steel & Wire for over 33 years. He was a long-time member of the Steel Workers Union where he served as local president.

He is survived by his children: Jennifer Garner (Chris) and Megan Reid (Mark); companion, Deborah Stewart; two grandchildren, Madison and Eric; nephews: Randy Stewart (Sheri), Mickey Stewart and Doug Stewart (Dawn); nieces, Allisha Burden (Kevin), Tammy Tarr (Val) and Terrie Tarr (Ian); sister-in-law, Rainy Tarr as well as several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Stewart and his wife, Evelyn and Jimmy Stewart, wife Gwyn.

No public services will be held.

Pitman-Richman Funeral Home of Eaton is entrusted with cremation arrangements.
