Lester Leo Geyman, 96, died on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Community Hospital Anderson with his family at his side.

Lester was born in Madison, Indiana on August 29, 1928, to Edward and Agnes (Kramer) Geyman. He left school in the 8th grade to help on the family farm until he served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.

On August 3, 1954, he married Anna Kathryn Jenkins and together they would make their home just outside of Eaton. Their family expanded to include their seven children.

A roofer for over 50 years, Lester owned and operated Geyman Roofing and was a long-time member of St. Mary and most recently St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He enjoyed camping, auctions, and bluegrass music.

His surviving family included his children: Richard Geyman (Janet), Jeff Geyman (Betty), Doug Geyman, Diana Bales, Leslie Geyman (Trisha), Patricia Clidinst and Sally Rosander; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; his sister, Alfreida Higdon; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Lester was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Anna Geyman; his brothers, Bernard, Ralph, Roy and Edgar; his sisters: Marcella, Lauretta, and Helena, as well as a granddaughter, Melissa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Eric Underwood at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi, 1200 W Riverside Ave., Muncie, IN 47303. Burial with Military Rites by the Delaware County Veteran Honor Guard will follow at Eaton Union Cemetery.

Friends are invited together with Lester's family prior to the funeral starting at 10:00 a.m. at the church.
