Linda J. Royal, 76, died on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at her home after a brief illness.

Linda was born in Muncie, Indiana on August 7, 1946 to Glenn and Doris (Eppard) Bailey.  She graduated from Eaton High School in 1964 and married Clyde Royal in July of that year. Together they would grow their family and raise their six children in Eaton.

Linda worked at several different places over her lifetime but the job she cherished most was being a mother and caring for her family.

She is survived by her mother, Doris (Eppard) Bailey; her children: Bub Royal (Tanya), Shelly Fowler (Jeff), David Royal (Robin), Stacy Padgett (Ron) Rick Royal (Dena) and Stephanie Morrison (Niles); her siblings: Jody Bailey (Lisa), Kathleen Pippin (Rick), Ann Collins (Dave) and Terri Ashcraft; sister-in-law, Michelle Bailey; fifteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Clyde Royal; father, Glenn Bailey Sr.; two brothers, Glenn "Jr" Bailey and Lester Bailey and a great-granddaughter Stella Berger.

Private family services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S Hartford St., Eaton with burial following at Eaton Union Cemetery. The family will gather at the funeral home starting at 12:00 Noon prior to services Wednesday.
