Mary Agnes Brooks, 83, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Miller's Merry Manor in Hartford City.
She was born on November 4, 1929 to Henry and Bernice (Collins) Wight in Cabel County, West Virginia.
Mary moved to Hartford City in 1958. She was employed by Dacra Glass in Hartford City, and belonged to the Eaton United Methodist Church and the Hartford City Amvets.
Survivors include a son, Gregory (Carol) Brooks, a daughter-in-law, Sharon Brooks; 5 grandchildren, Lynn Brooks, Jonathon Brooks, Stacia Brooks, Sarah Brooks, and David Brooks; 6 great-grandchildren, Raven Brooks, Brandon Brooks, Marcus Allen Brooks, Abbey & Libby Brooks, and Erin Nichols.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Orval Brooks; a son, Dwight Brooks; two grandsons, Justin and Bryan Brooks; and 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Monday, September 2, prior to services.
Additional services will be Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Henson Mortuary, 6357 Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, West Virginia, with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Dock's Creek Cemetery in Kenova, West Virginia.
