Max E. Brown, 84, died on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Homewood Health Care in Lebanon, Indiana.


Max was born on January 5, 1938 to Lowell and Margaret (Bricker) Brown. He graduated from Granville Wells High School and served his country in the US Army and US Army Reserve from 1956 to 1962.


He married Diane C. Stewart on July 10, 1959 officiated by Pastor Teal Younce who was a life-long friend and brother-in-law to both Diane and Max. Together they would raise their two sons in Eaton.


Max worked for General Motors, retiring after 22 years of employment. He was a member of the United Auto Workers, was a founding member of Eaton EMTs and served on the Eaton Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years.


Max is survived by his sons, Stewart Brown (Mary) of Muncie and Steven Brown (Vickie) of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Christian Brown and Shelby Brown; sister-in-law, Barbara Younce; sister-in-law, Janice Stewart, as well as several nieces and nephews.


In addition to his parents, Max was preceded in death by his wife Diane (Stewart) Brown; his brother, Phillip Brown and his brother-in-law, Teal Younce and Walter Stewart.


Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S Hartford St., Eaton. Private burial will be held at Eaton Union Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
