Raymond E. Forst, 92, died on December 31, 2023 at Brickyard Healthcare in Richmond.

Raymond was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on December 14, 1931 to Earl and Dorothy (Wheeler) Forst. He attended Eaton schools and married Anna Mary Ball on March 15, 1951 in Grant County. Together they would live in Hartford City and Fairmount before making their home in northern Delaware County where they farmed and raised their children, Susan and Fred.

Raymond was a long-time member of Eden Church. In addition to farming, he owned Eaton Septic Tank Co., and enjoyed traveling and polka dancing.

He is survived by his children: Susan James (Ron) and Fred Forst; five grandchildren: Lyle James (Stephanie), Alan James (Becca), Joe Forst, Benjamin Forst and Brady Forst; and four great-grandchildren: Gregory James, William James, Emma James and Zachary James.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his wife Anna Mary in 1994.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Tammy Hallam officiating. Private burial will be made at Eaton Union Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the service starting at 11:00 a.m.
