Richard H. "Rick" Pitman, 66, died on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at IU Health, Ball Memorial Hospital, after an extended illness.

He was born on January 2, 1956 in Delaware County to Robert M. and Iva (Thompson)Pitman.

Rick was a car salesman most of his life, with Buicks being his specialty.  He was a family man and never knew a stranger.

He leaves behind his wife of 24 years, Laura (Harshman) Pitman; children: Shane Ehrhart (Brandi), Rick Pitman (Tara), Amanda Thompson (Jason), Ashlee James (Chris) and Britney Geyman (Curtis); his sister, Mary Smithers as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by  four brothers:  Gale, Roger, Glen and Vernon Pitman and six sisters:  Kim Polios, Christine Pitman, Beverly Koons, Sandy Rees, Lynn Cruea and Debra Massey.

Services are at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9th 2022 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S Hartford St., Eaton, with Stephen Austin presiding. Burial will follow at Eaton Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 Monday at the funeral home.
