EATON, IN

Sharon K. Brooks, 67, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Sharon was born on August 6, 1950 in Muncie, Indiana to Russell and Violet (Peck) Younts. She was a 1968 graduate of Hartford City High School and would go on to earn her LPN from Ball State University.

On February 14, 1973, she married Dwight Brooks in Eaton, Indiana. Together they would raise their three children in Blackford and Delaware Counties. Sharon was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and had attended Eaton United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Price (David); four grandchildren: Brandon, Marcus, Elizabeth and Abigail; her daughter-in-law, Tracey Brooks, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight; two sons, Justin Brooks and Bryan Brooks; four brothers: Carl, Gene, Freddie and Jimmy Younts and three sisters: Alice, Mary Jane and Shirley Ann.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Keith Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Eaton Union Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the services Friday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
