Shideler, IN

Shirley J. Wright, 89, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 6:30 a.m. at Brickyard Healthcare of Muncie.

Shirley was born in Shideler on July 17, 1935, to Pearl V. and Clara E (Walburn) McLeland. She married Louie V. Wright on February 18, 1962, at Eaton Church of the Nazarene.

She attended school in Eaton, was a homemaker and took care of many kids over the years.

She is survived by her sister, Nancy Coffey (Bethonie); two sons, Michael Wright and Timothy J. Wright, both of Shideler; five grandchildren: Tyler Wright, Courtney Wright, Duane Wright, Ava Wright, and Mason Wright; three great-grandchildren: Kaydence, Kira and Wiley Wright; three daughters-in-law, Kim Simon (Joe), Lori Murray (Steve) and Megan Wright.

She was greeted in Heaven by her parents, husband, Louie V. Wright, sons, David T. Wright and Timothy M. Wright, and one great-grandchild, Grace; seven siblings, Ada Scales, Rosemary Bowers, Eleanor Foster, Ruby Adkins, Everette McLeland, and Glen McLeland and Orville McLeland.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S Hartford St., Eaton. Burial will follow at Eaton Union Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24 and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday.
