Thelma J. Roberts, 96, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died on Monday, March 28, 2022 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Thelma was born on August 27, 1925 in Forsyth, Georgia to Thomas and Artha (Lephart) Owen. She graduated from Eaton High School and married Ralph Edward Roberts on April 3, 1948. Together they would raise their two children and celebrate 64 years of marriage.

Thelma worked in the office of BorgWarner for several years and was a long-time member of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are her two children: Gary Roberts (Julie) of Atlanta, Georgia and Yolanda Wilson (Delmer) of Muncie; three grandchildren: Brian Roberts, Sherri Greiner (Josiah) and Sean Wilson; two brothers, Kenny Owen (Carol Ann) and Tommy Owen and a sister, Tiny Wheeler; two great-grandchildren: Paige Hartman (Tyler Proctor) and Isaiah Greiner as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Ed in 2012 and three sisters: Barbara Witt, Ilah Sullivan and Pauline Pittman.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S Hartford St., Eaton. Private burial services with Pastor Roger Spitler will follow at Eaton Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Alzheimer's Association 50 E 91st St Ste 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
