Tony M. Rees, 84, of Eaton, IN died peacefully at IU Health Ball Hospital on December 3, 2022. Tony was born on June 16, 1938 to Raymond and Jessie (Prewett) Rees. Tony was an only child and the sparkle in their eyes.

Tony was a 1957 graduate from Eaton High School. He played basketball, baseball and ran track. He had lots of friends from Eaton and other surrounding schools.

Tony attended Ball State Teacher's College and was in the United States Army from 1961-1963. He worked for General Motors for 45 years, he retired in 2005.

Tony married Dollie (Craw), of Eaton on June 16, 1962. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. They have two daughters together. Their life was filled with family, love and devotion.

Tony loved spending time with his family. He was the perfect "girl dad"! He loved his grandchildren, playing golf and being outside. Tony loved the Christmas holiday season!

He is survived by his loving wife, Dollie and daughters, Mary Ann Rees (Patrick McConnell) and Susan (Kurt) Katterhenry. Grandchildren, Michelle (Logan) Alley, Marc (Shelby Faust) Concannon, Mitchell (Taylor) Concannon, Garrett Katterhenry and Caroline Katterhenry. Great-grandchildren, Wyatt Alley, Scarlett Alley and Ella Concannon.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S Hartford St., Eaton with Brian Waters officiating. Burial with Military Funeral Honors by the US Army and the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard will be made at Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
