Warren Eugene Wright, 82, passed away, Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Albany Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born on July 25, 1935 in Eaton, Indiana to Herbert and Georgia (Rathel) Wright. He attended Eaton schools with his fourteen siblings and he would marry Joanna Warner on December 3, 1951 in Portland, Indiana.
Warren and Joanna raised their six children in Eaton. He worked for Borg Warner for over 29 years, retiring in 1997. Warren was an avid fisherman and loved helping at the Buck Stop.
He was a member of the UAW Local 287, the Albany Saddle Club, and the former Eaton CB Club.
Surviving are his children: Michael Wright (Deborah), Rick Wright (Anita), Randy Wright (Janet), Brad Wright (Tamara), and Melissa Strunk, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Joanna Wright, a daughter, Teresa Wright, grandson, Daron Wright, granddaughter, Rojeana Fisher, great-grandson, Joseph Wright, fourteen brothers and sisters: William Hurley, Louie, Oren, Jimmy, Jerry and Fred Wright, Betty Connor, Dorothy Schroeder, June Clark, Becky Eppard, Sara Wolf, Kay Chism, Judy Egly, and Ellen Kreischer, and a daughter-in-law, Lori Wright.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Pastor Randy Davis presiding. Burial will follow in Eaton Union Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 20, 2017 and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Warren was passionate about giving blood and received an award for donating over 10 gallons. Therefore, in lieu of memorial donations, the family would like to encourage friends and family to donate blood in memory of Warren.
