Adda Mae Boyd, 91, former resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and long-time resident of Eaton, died on Monday, November 21, 2022 after a brief illness.
Adda was born on October 2, 1931 in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania to Robert and Margaret (Limegrover) Comie. She was a 1949 graduate of Penn Hills High School and on June 17th, 1950, she married her high-school sweetheart, Richard Boyd. Together they would raise their family, making their home in Eaton, Indiana for the past 44 years.
Adda and Richard were long-time members of the Eden Church.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Richard F. Boyd: three children: Judy Broderick (Tom) of Pittsburgh, PA, Richard Boyd (Irene) of Pine, CO and Bill Boyd (Alicia) of Moorseville, IN; three grandchildren: Daniel Boyd, Hanna Honer (Mike) and Chloe Moore; four great-grandchildren: Dublin Baughman, Aiden Paszko, Eva Honer and Lily Honer; nephews, John Cox (Tammy) and Robert Cox (Anne) and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Adda was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Meghan Broderick; grandson, Lucas Boyd and her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Cliff Cox.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2022 at Eden Church 11205 N State Road 3 North, Muncie with Rev, Tammy Hallam officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday prior to services from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Graveside services in Pittsburgh will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022 by Burket-Truby Funeral Home at Mount Hope Cemetery 12707 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills, PA 15235.
