Alice Faye (Pursifull) McIntire, 79, peacefully left this world on February 1, 2024, after a courageous battle with Dementia. She has now rejoined her maker, finding solace in the embrace of eternal peace, where she is healed and whole once more.
Alice was the beloved daughter of the late Lillian and Berl Pursifull and the youngest of three children. Born on April 27, 1944, and raised in Muncie, Indiana, she spent her childhood on the farm her grandfather had purchased in 1913. A true daddy's girl, Alice cherished her time in the fields and barn, where she enthusiastically assisted with caring for their livestock. Despite a farm accident at the age of five, Alice's indomitable spirit persisted, and she went on to drive the Co-op E3 tractor, unload hay bales to the elevator, and even developed a passion for golf.
On May 17, 1963, Alice embarked on a lifelong journey with her beloved husband, Richard McIntire. Together, they built a family rooted in love and shared values. Alice's devotion extended to her role as a mother, raising a daughter, Veretta (Randal) Schnackenberg, and a son, Brad (Tracy Burton) McIntire. A master at keeping the books for the family business, Alice's dedication and hard work were the foundation for their success.
Alice's love extended to her role as Nana, where she cherished precious moments with her twin grandsons, Kyle and Blake Schnackenberg. Her warmth, kindness, and nurturing spirit enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
