Anita Dawn Pugsley, 50, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Albany Health and Rehab.

Anita was born in Muncie on January 5, 1976, to Jim and Judi (Marron) Scott. She graduated from Delta High School in 1994 and earned her CNA through Ivy Tech.

Anita was a 10-year member of 4H where she later served as a leader.

At age 21, Anita suffered injuries from a snowmobile accident that left her paralyzed; however, this did not define her. Anita was a loving, caring, outgoing person that loved to be around people. She served as president of the Residents’ Association of Albany Healthcare and was always active in crafts, painting, and especially Bingo.  

Anitia is survived by her loving mother, Judi Scott; her father, Jim Scott (Maggie); her siblings: Cathryn Troxler (William), James Scott (Kelly), Tracy Nash, David Kidd and Melissa Kidd; special niece Kayla Bailey; special nephews, Michael Scott and Matthew Bailey as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Anita was preceded in death by brother, John Scott; grandparents, Ted and Juanita Scott, Clarence and Dorothy Marron and Aunt Linda Janney.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S Hartford St., Eaton. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.

Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the funeral from 11:30 until 1:30, Friday.
