Elmira Ann Maddy Whelchel, 84, died on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Parker Health and Rehabilitation after an extended illness.

Ann was born in Marion, Indiana to William “Bill” and Myrtle (Howell) Robinson. Ann attended school in Fairmount, Indiana and worked at many businesses in the Muncie Mall. Ann was a stay-at-home mother, raising her seven children.

Ann was a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church in Muncie, a long-time member of the Red Hat Society, and enjoyed passing the time with cooking, reading and spending time with her family.

Her surviving family include her children: Jackie Wolfgang, John Losure Jr. (Cathy), Bill Losure (Debbie), Jerry Maddy Jr., and Jill Lewis (Leonard); her nephew, Woodrow Davies as well as 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, one-great-great-grandchild and a daughter-in-law, Sheryl Maddy.

In addition to her parents and husband Charles Whelchel, Ann was preceded in death by two sons: Jay Maddy, Edward Maddy; her sister, Mary Davies; and three grandchildren: Curtis Maddy, Milo Stafford and Kahla Oxedine.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28th, 2022 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S Hartford St., Eaton. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, prior to services from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m.
