Bernice I. (Monroe) Wilber

EATON, IN Bernice I. (Monroe) Wilber, 71, of Eaton, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at her home. Bernice was born on April 28, 1939 in Muncie to the late Dorothy and Bud Monroe. She married Donald David Wilber on January 28, 1959 in Muncie. She was a homemaker and mother and had previously been employed at Overhead Door Company in Hartford City, IN and Twoson Tool in Matthews, IN. She was a member of the Full Gospel Light House in Dunkirk and enjoyed crafts, sewing and fishing. Bernice is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Donald Wilber, their children, Donald Alan Wilber (wife, Judy) of Muncie, Edward (Ben) Wilber of Eaton, Clarence (Eugene) Wilber (wife, Sherry) of Muncie, Dorothy Stafford (husband, Danny) of Eaton, Rose Miller (husband, Scott) of Groton, CT, eighteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two brothers, James Burnum and David Burnum, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary K. Blevins, a grandson, Bobby Jo Stafford, 2 sisters, Mildred Green and Phyllis Phillips and two brothers James Monroe, and Eddie Everoads. A funeral service to celebrate Bernice’s life will be at 11:00 am Friday, March 4, 2011 in the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Rev. Bobby Thomas presiding. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Eaton. Friends and family may gather to share are remember, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 3 and also one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
