Betty J. Bailey, 90, died on December 9, 2024, at Signature Healthcare after an extended illness.
Betty was born in Boone County, West Viriginia on January 14, 1934, to Milton and Irene (Flynn) Graley. On February 22, 1975, she married Fred “Jude” Bailey in Eaton.
Betty was a long-time member of the Eaton United Methodist Church. She volunteered for Life Stream, serving meals at the community building for over 10 years.
Betty worked for Ball State University for over 14 years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Fred Bailey; her children: Patricia Brown, Susan Reynolds and Gary Hughes; brother, Bobby Graley; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by two sons, Ronnie Hughes and James Hughes; her siblings: Kyle Graley, David Graley, Larry Graley, Imogene Parsons, and Shelby Turner.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Michael Graley officiating. Private burial will be made at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the funeral, starting at 12:00 Noon.
