EATON, IN—
Carol Mae Rench, 91, passed away Wednesday morning, October 18, 2023 at Signature Health Care of Muncie.
Born in Muncie on August 7, 1932, the daughter of William C. Hollowell and Stella (Simmons) Hollowell. She was raised in Eaton, graduating from Eaton High School, class of 1951 and was employed at Precision Printing, in the Bindery department many years.
Her marriage to Richard “Gene” Rench, was on September 22, 1950, at Shideler. They celebrated sixty-six years of marriage, at the time of his passing, on October 23, 2016. Together, she and her husband enjoyed winters in Florida. Carol also enjoyed golf, sewing and crafts and also attended the Church of Alliance Bible study.
She leaves behind one daughter, Debra (Kim) Hill; granddaughter, Terri Ann (Jeff) Draper; two great-grandchildren: Jessica Ann Hines and Jacob (Makaiyla) Hines; two great-great-grandchildren: Elaina Hines and Jaxon Hines.
In addition to her husband and parents, she also is preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Dale Rench; three brothers: Richard Hollowell, Ronald Hollowell and Terry Hollowell, along with a half-brother, William Mickler.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21st in the Eaton Union Cemetery Chapel, 16301 N. St. Rd. 3, Eaton, Rev. Dewayne Loveless, officiating. Burial follows in the cemetery, at the conclusion of the service.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20th at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Eaton Union Cemetery chapel.
