DeWayne A. Hunt, 51, loving father, son and brother, died on Friday, June 24, 2022 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

DeWayne was born on May 19, 1971 in Muncie, Indiana to Richard and Latricia (Dawson) Hunt. He was a 1990 graduate of Delta High School and went on to drive professionally for Northwest Wrecker, G and G Oil, Sinflex Paper, and most recently IMI, where he drove his concrete truck for over 21 years.

DeWayne was a loving and caring man that was well-known for his sense of humor and his love of golf.

Surviving family include his son, Levi Hunt (Lexi Stanley); his parents, Richard and Latricia Hunt; siblings: Melinda Winters (Terry), Troy Hunt (Cheryl) and Kellie Garringer (Donald); special friend and mother of Levi, Lorri Strunk-Loser (Cris) and bonus-daughter, Jamie Strunk; nieces and nephews: Heather Stanley (Darrin), Karrie Winters, Candi Walton (Jacob), Brett Henry, Brandon Henry (Staci) and Travis Garringer (Tera) as well as many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 with visitation starting at 12:00 Noon at Eaton Church of God, 700 E Harris St., Eaton with Pastor Roger Spitler officiating. Burial will follow at Eaton Union Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28th at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S Hartford St., Eaton.
