Deborah K. (Pankey) Rizzo, 70, died on August 20, 2021 at Brookside Care Center in Muncie, Indiana.
Deborah was born on November 9, 1950 in Muncie to Albert and Wanda (Lephart) Pankey. She was a 1969 graduate of Delta High School and later worked in retail for several years.
She is survived by her brother, Dan Pankey (wife Terri), nephew Eric Pankey (wife Michelle), two grand-daughters, Loren Mansfield (husband Austin) and Breanna Padgett (Nick Cain) as well as five great grandchildren, Justyn and Zaidyn Mansfield, Milo Alvey, Jordan Cain all of Muncie, and Kaylub Reibsome of Hartford city.
Deborah was firmly independent and deeply spiritual in her beliefs. She was well liked and well cared for by the staff at Brookside Care Center. She was extremely talented in doing beadwork. Along with doing repair work on 1920s women’s beaded purses for an antique dealer, she made beautiful bead fringed shawls.
In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her daughter, Sonya Padgett and her granddaughter, Crystal Padgett.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Eaton Union Cemetery with Brian Waters officiating.
