Donna Overmyer

Donna Marie Overmyer, 94, loving mother and grandmother, died on October 23, 2021 at Signature Healthcare in Muncie.

Donna was born on November 21, 1926 to Lester and Ruby (Staggs) Witter. She graduated from Burris High School in 1944 and married the love of her life, Robert Overmyer on October 26, 1948 in Eaton. They made their home in Eaton, where they raised their three children and spent the next 58 years together.

Donna was a long-time member of the Eaton United Methodist Church and was active in the Methodist Women group.

She is survived by her children, Dean Overmyer (Debbie) and Deanne Writtenhouse (Brian Atkinson); a brother, Jerry Witter (Darlene); five grandchildren: Justin Overmyer (Gina), Chelsea McLaughlin (Cody), Hillary Writtenhouse (Josh Walker), Adam Writtenhouse (Marisa) and Meredith Writtenhouse (Jessica); eleven great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband Robert Overmyer; her daughter, Devonna Overmyer and her twin sister, Vonna Bea Jernigan.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S Hartford St., Eaton. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.

Visitation for family and friends will be prior to services from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
