Emma C. Pursifull

Eaton, IN Emma C (Gilland) Pursifull, 107, passed away December 5, 2011 at the Golden Living Center, Muncie. Emma was born in Delaware County on October 26, 1904 to Othe and Julia (Hummer) Gilland. She and her family moved to the Eaton area when she was 3 years old. She attended Eaton schools and married Paul L. Pursifull. Emma lived in the Eaton area for most of her life. For 20 years, Paul, Emma, and their children lived on a farm near Dunkirk. Emma was a homemaker and attended the Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by her son, Eugene Pursifull (Kay), 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 1963, a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Bill Shane, grandson Mike, great granddaughter Ashleigh and four brothers. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 9, 2011at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Tom Fett of the Dunkirk Church of the Nazarene presiding.. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Eaton. Visitation for friends and family will be held from 12 Noon until 2:00 pm. Friday.
