Harry Fowler

Harry W. Fowler, 76, died at home on Sunday, January 12, 2025, after an extended illness.

Harry was born on September 16, 1948, to William and Pauline (Runyon) Fowler. He grew up near Redkey and enjoyed working with his family at Fowler & Son Excavating since he was 13 years old.  Harry was a 1966 graduate of DeSoto High School and went on to serve his country in the US Navy.

After his military service, Harry attended and graduated from Ball State University. After college, Harry taught Industrial Arts at New Castle High School and then went to work for Ball Corporation where he worked as a site manager, overseeing many building projects over the years. Later, Harry worked for Maxon/Honeywell and Dannar, where he oversaw new building projects.

On April 15, 2000, he married Sharon Jordan and together they made their home outside of Albany. Harry loved to be outside, hunting, fishing, golfing but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with the family and grandchildren.

Harry served on the Delaware Community School Board for three terms, was a board member for Isanogel Center in Yorktown, as well as board member for Delta Girls Softball Boosters and the Delta High School Band & Color Guard Boosters.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Fowler; his children: Lisa Fowler, David Burns, Lynsey Randall (Josh), and Jordan Burns (Shane Johnson); grandchildren: Logan Houser, Randalyn Burns, Austin Randall, Owen Randall, Connor Johnson, Raylon Burns , Kamea Eppard, and Ella Randall, great-granddaughter, Chloe Houser; brother, Tim Fowler (Natalie), as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Fowler.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S Hartford St., Eaton. Burial with military rites by the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard will follow at Black Cemetery, Albany.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
