Helen L. Rose, 91, passed away on January 26, 2026, at Albany Health Care after an extended illness.

Helen was born on September 6, 1934, in Eaton, Indiana to John and Otley (Robbins) Bales. She graduated from Eaton High School in 1953 and married Lowell D. Rose on December 31, 1954, at the Eaton Christian Church. Together they made their home in Eaton.

Helen was a long-time member of Eaton Church of God, the Red Hat Society and enjoyed crocheting and quilting.

She is survived by her children: Melissa Bushman and Cindy Holly (Tyler); her sister, Janet Younce; grandchildren: Katy Pfeifer (Brandon), Trace Murray, and Taryn Murray; great-grandchildren: Kenton Bushman, Karly Pfeifer, Holly Pfeifer, Braely Pfeifer, and Finly Pfeifer.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lowell Rose; two brothers, Richard Bales and Philip Bales and a grandson, Kyle Bushman

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Eaton Church of God 700 E Harris St. Eaton with Gordon McIlwain officiating. Burial will be made privately at Eaton Union Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will start at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church.
