Helen (Cavanaugh) Rodgers, 71, formerly of Eaton, passed away in Tucson, Arizona on April 13, 2023.
She attended Eaton schools and was a 1969 graduate of Delta High School. She continued her education at Ball State University. Later, she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and her master’s degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
Helen served her country and is a former Marine. She was a member of the Saquaro Romance Writers of America where she held several positions. She retired from Honeywell in Tucson in 2014.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jim Rodgers of Tucson and a sister, L. Loretta Curtis of Gaston, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her father, Dennis M. Cavanaugh of Eaton, her mother and step-father, Ferol and Walter Houk of Muncie; brothers, Dennis R. Cavanaugh, Muncie; Andrew Cavanaugh of Eaton, Stanley Cavanaugh of Muncie; her sister, Kathryn (Sis) of Eaton and Colleen Davis of Muncie
She will be sorely missed by all those that loved her and her family ask that you remember her in your hearts. At the time, no public services are planned.
