Gaston, IN
Jack E. Williams, 89, died on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
Jack was born in Grant County, Indiana to John and Elizabeth (Needler) Williams. He graduated from Gaston High School in 1952 and served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.
On June 24, 1960, he married Elizabeth M. Harless. Together they would make their home on the farm just north of Gaston.
Jack was a true old-school type of guy. Always the farmer, he took care of himself, his family and those he loved and didn’t put up with any nonsense. He absolutely marched to the beat of his own drum.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Becky Hesher of Gaston; grandchildren, Dane Willoughby and Emily Hesher.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth in 1995, a son, John Edward in 1963 and a son-in-law, Harold Hesher in 2021.
