Jacob "Jake" Monroe

EATON, IN Jacob “Jake” Monroe, 18, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, June, 22, 2011 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Jake was born on November 29, 1992 to Tony and Beth (Walker) Monroe. He recently graduated from Delta High School, class of 2011. For many years, Jake helped his father roofing houses. He was a varsity football player at Delta and loved sports, hunting, fishing and hanging out with his friends. He is survived by his loving parents, Tony and Beth Monroe, two brothers, Andrew Monroe and Greg Smith, paternal grandparents: Tony and Barbara Monroe, and Earl and Janet Reynolds; maternal grandparents, Joe and Kay Walker, a niece Brylee Smith, as well as several uncles, aunts, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm. Monday, June 27, 2011 at Delta High School Auditorium with Rev. Marion Donathan presiding. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Eaton. Visitation will be at Delta High School from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Sunday, June 26 and one hour prior to services Monday. The Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, is handling arrangements.
