EATON, IN—
James A. “Jim” Christal, 78, entered into His Lord and Savior’s glorious kingdom, Saturday, November 4, 2023. His passing occurred in the company of his loving family, and in the comforts of his own home.
One of five sons born to Woodrow and Lova R. (Farris) Christal, he was born November 8, 1944 in Bastrop, Texas.
A well-known Autobody man to many in this area, Jim’s greater passion and devotion was to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and Jim’s church: Rejoice Ministries.
He married Peggy S. Redden on April 21, 1963 in Gethsemane United Methodist Church, in Muncie.
In addition to his loving and devoted wife of sixty years, he leaves behind his daughter, Jami (Phil) Staab; three sons Richard “Rick” (Janie) Christal, Steven (Donna) Christal and Mark (Amy) Christal. Fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. One brother, Clay (Vicky) Christal, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding him into God’s glory, is his son David James Christal on Jan. 15, 2006; his father, on Feb. 24, 2008, his mother on Aug. 9, 2007 and his three brothers, Lydon Christal, Ray Eugene “Gene” Christal and Ernie Christal. Also, a grandson Matthew precedes him in 2019.
