MUNCIE, IN—
James F. Fadely, 90, passed Tuesday afternoon, July 27, 2021 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, after an extended illness.
He was born August 13, 1930, the only child of Gory and Hattie (Pierson) Fadely, in the house he still resided until his passing. A 1949 graduate of Royerton High School, he was married to Virginia M. (Compliment) Fadely on July 21, 1950 in Anderson, Indiana and recently celebrated seventy-one years of marriage together.
James was a longtime and faithful member of the Union Grove Church of the Brethren, in Northern Delaware County. He was an avid CB (Citizens Band) radio operator for many years and also became a familiar voice on HAM radio for many years, with his call letters being: KC9C6QY. One of James’ favorite things to do was dining at McDonald’s Restaurant, at least twice a week.
He leaves behind his wife, Virginia; one daughter, Linda (Hugh) Foist; two sons, Kenneth W. Fadely and Keith Fadely; Eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, his daughter-in-law, Catherine Fadely precedes him in death.
Graveside services and burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2021 at Eaton Union Cemetery, 16301 N. St. Rd. #3, Eaton, IN with Rev. Gene Shively of the Union Grove Church of the Brethren officiating.
