Obituary

Dunkirk, IN

James R. Morgan, 66, died on Friday, April 21, 2023 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. 

James was born on June 19, 1956 to Jim and Betty Lou (Van Pelt) Morgan. He graduated from Blackford High School and went on to work for Indiana Glass in Dunkirk until they closed.

James raised his daughters, Twila and Tiffany and enjoyed fishing, wrestling but most of all enjoyed dropping everything to help a neighbor. 

He is survived by his daughter, Twila Kates, husband Daniel of Muncie; father, James Morgan and many friends and neighbors whom he’s helped over the years.

In addition to his mother, Betty Lou Morgan, James was preceded in death by his daughter Tiffany Morgan-Quate as well as three uncles. 

Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27th, 2023 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 7:00 p.m. with officiant, Brian Waters. 

Private burial will be made at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
