Margaret B. Mullins, 87, passed away on Saturday, December 03, 2016, at her home with her family by her side.
The daughter of Roy and Alphretta (Reynolds) Mitchell, Margaret was born on March 1, 1929 in Muncie. She graduated from Eaton High School in 1947- the valedictorian of her class. On June 18, 1947 she married, Louis C. "Creed" Mullins.
Margaret worked for Armstrong Glass, later Kerr Glass, retiring in 1991 after 30 years of employment. She belonged to the 8&40 Randolph County #640, CB club in Eaton, Delaware County Home Ec Club, and the Red Hats.
Margaret was very active in the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #90 for over 40 years. She was unit #90 president for 13 years, the secretary of the 10th District for over 10 years, and was the district president from 2001-2002. While she was president, she visited every district with her friends Lavelle Black and Ruth Rairdon.
Margaret is survived by her children: Linda Jones (Edward) of Albany, Louis Mullins Jr. (Sheila) of Muncie, and Eva Riddle of Albany, two brothers; Robert Mitchell (Sharon) and Donald Mitchell (Darlene), daughter-in-law, Barbara Mullins, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Creed Mullins, parents; Roy C. Mitchell and Alphretta Adams, a son, Curtis Mullins, and two brothers; Ronald Mitchell and Billy Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Warren Willie officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 and from 10-11 Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Legion Auxiliary #90, PO Box 186, Eaton, IN 47338.
