Mary E. Goodman

Mary E. Goodman, 88, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Bethel Pointe Health Care with her family by her side.

Mary was born on January 24, 1929 in Muncie, Indiana to Roy and Reba (Hensley) Robertson. She graduated from Hartford City High School and married Ernest Goodman. Together they would raise their two children in Wheeling, Indiana where Mary lived for the past 69 years.

Mary worked several places over the years but spent the most time working for Ball Corp. and later Kerr Glass. She enjoyed music, reading and making jewelry.

She is survived by her children: Kathy Goodman-Harding (Wilbert) and Jeanie McPhearson (Tim), seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a step-brother, Jerry Robertson, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Reba Robertson; her husband, Ernest Goodman; a brother, Bill Robertson; and her step-mother Ruby James.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Glenn Harding officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to services.
