Mary Christine Jeffrey, 93, loving mother and grandmother, died on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Albany Health Care.
Chris was born on December 25, 1931, to Buck and Nina (Wilson) Love. She graduated from Redkey High School in 1950 and married Howard Thomas Jeffrey on March 20, 1953.
Chris worked alongside her husband Tom on the family dairy farm. She was a member of Dairy Farmers of America, Eastern Indiana Livestock Breeders Association, American Jersey Cattle Club and was a National FFA Alum. Since childhood, Jersey cows were her passion. Chris milked those cows until she was 81 years old.
Chris was avid supporter of 4H. She never missed a Jersey cow showing by her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren at the Delaware County 4H Fair and Open Show.
She enjoyed cheering on the Colts, Dodgers, and especially the Pacers.
Chris is survived by her children: Sandy Russell (Glen), Randy Jeffrey, and Cindy Jeffrey; brother, Ronald Love; sister, Susie Dick; four grandchildren: Chad Hart, LeiLani Pike (Byran), Randall Jeffrey (Rolanda), and Stephan Jeffrey (Jessica); eight great-grandchildren: Autumn Hart, Chad Hart Jr., Miranda Hart, Liliana Jeffrey, Emilia Jeffrey, Enoch Jeffrey, Theodore Jeffrey, and Marilann Jeffrey, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tom Jeffrey, a brother, Richard Love and a sister, Elnora Henderson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S Hartford St., Eaton with Brian Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Black Cemetery, Albany.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 11 and after 10:00 am Saturday, at the funeral home.
