Matrie L. Wilson

Eaton, IN Matrie L. Wilson, 80, passed away Monday morning, October 25, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital. The daughter of William and Selesta (Hardwick) Thompson, she was born March 27, 1930 in Somerset, Kentucky. She married Vincent J.R. Wilson on January 2, 1948 in Cains Store, Kentucky. Matrie was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Eaton. She is survived by her children, Larry Wilson (wife, Carla), of Portland, and Linda Wyatt, of Liberty, Kentucky, a sister, Alma McFall, of Muncie, and a brother Lloyd Thompson, also of Muncie, as well as, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vincent, five brothers: Hubert, Chester, Robert Dale, Hollis, and Charlie Thompson, three sisters: Iva Pitman, Minnie Waddle, and Ella Mae Buis, and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 29, 2010 in the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Pastor Bruce Reynolds presiding. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm., Thursday, October 28 and one hour prior to services Friday. Memorials may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital or the BMH Foundation.
