Nadine L. Ray, 81, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was welcomed into her Heavenly home on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Dunkirk.

Nadine was born on November 6, 1940 in Norton, Virginia to Noah and Mary (Gibson) Gilly. She graduated from Pennville High School in 1957 and married Billy Ray on January 27, 1960. They had two children, Del and Gary and would spend the next 61 years together.

Nadine attended the Eaton First Baptist Church and loved celebrating Christmas.

She is survived by her children, Del Ray (Janet) and Gary Ray (Kelly); grandchildren: Lindsey Littlecharlie (Keith), Brittany McCord (Cody), Alex Ray and Maria Ray; a sister Fay Horn (John); great-grandchildren: April, Max, Brooke, Urijah, Briggs and Adelyne; as  well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Nadine was preceded in death by her husband Billy Ray; great-granddaughter, Katie; two brothers, Buddy Gilly and Larry Gilly; and four sisters: Mabry Andrews, Louise Stultz, Edith Watkins and JoAnn Lawhorn.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S Hartford St., Eaton, with Pastor Mark Wilkerson officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home and after 10:00 a.m. prior to services.

Following cremation, Nadine will be buried alongside her husband at Strong Cemetery, Albany.

Memorials may be made in her name to Eaton First Baptist Church, 510 E Columbia Ave., Eaton, IN 47338.
