Randy Miers

Randall J. Miers, 71, died on Monday, September 26, 2022 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

Randy was born on June 23, 1951 in Muncie, Indiana to Byron Dean Sr. and Violet Wavelene(Champ) Miers. He was a 1969 graduate of Delta High School and later worked as an independent contractor operating Randy Miers Home Improvement. He worked his final 20 years at Wickes Lumber in Anderson.

Randy loved music and collected many different instruments. Over the years, he played with the bands, Thunder, Pazazz Band and The Unit.

Randy is survived by his companion of over 40 years, Cheryl Caldwell; children: Jeremy Miers (Peggy), Rodney Caldwell and Katrina Kelly; his brother Byron Dean Miers Jr.; niece, Lisa Vuurman (David); nephew, Jeffrey Miers; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Darlene and a niece Julie Miers.

Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Glenn Greiner officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Pitman-Richman Funeral Home.
