Raymond J. Grant, 56, passed away at his home on July 10, 2017 with his family by his side.

Raymond was born on December 13, 1960 in Barstow, California to Lefty and Mary (Davenport) Grant. He was a 1979 graduate of Jay County High School and he married Sheryl Gilland on January 14, 1993 in Texas.

Raymond worked for West Rock in Eaton for 37 years and had many hobbies including: traveling, especially to the beach and to Lake Pleasant, as well as, fishing, canoeing, biking, working out but most of all spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sheryl Grant, his children: Gavyn Clasemann-Ryan (Cory), Kristy Williams, Kathryn Jones (Nick), and Megan Grant; grandson Tre Bishop; son-in-law Jason Bishop; brothers and sisters: Kimberly Tobias (Brian), Danny Grant (Cindy), Kristine Wehrbein (Boyd), Stacie Encalade, and Greg Grant; brothers and sisters-in-law: Michael Gilland (Wanda), Vickie Green (Les), Valerie Dalton (Mike), Shirley Kurtz (Brian), and Doug Gilland (Jennifer); as well as 32 nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and his special friends Linda Cross and Terri Ashcraft and several cousins.

Raymond was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary and Ronnie Dale, father and mother, Lefty and Susie Grant, father and mother-in-law, Leroy and Janice Gilland, brother-in-law, Mark Gilland, nephew, Michael William Gilland and his great-nephew, Quentin Michael Goetz.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Rev. Joe Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Elizabethtown Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13 and from 6:00 until services, Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Little Red Door of East Central Indiana, 2311 W. Jackson St. Muncie, IN 47303.
