Robert Dungan Obituary

Parker City, IN Robert L. Dungan, 70, passed away, Thursday, December 1, 2011 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. Robert was born on June, 8, 1941 in Alexandria, Indiana. He graduated from Royerton High School and went on to serve his country in the Army. He married Linda Knott on February, 17, 1992 in Pensacola, Florida. Mr. Dungan moved to West Lafayette where he worked as Police Officer and Real Estate Developer, retiring in 2002. He was a member of the FOP and was on the committee for the Feast of the Hunters Moon. Robert collected tools and enjoyed wood working. He is survived by his wife Linda Dungan, a daughter, Deborah Hemme, three step-children: Tracy Stephens, Erik Knott, and Kevin Knott (Jana), five brothers: Paul Caldwell (Mary), Phillip Caldwell, Ed Caldwell (Brenda), Charles “Hank” Caldwell, John Caldwell (Deborah), a sister, Roberta Lynn, two grandchildren, Colin and Gareth Hemme, 5 step grandchildren, 4 step great-grandchildren and former wife, Karen Gardner. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Dungan-Caldwell. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am. Monday, December 5, 2011 at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the VA Cemetery, Marion. Visitation for friends and family will be on Sunday, December 4, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and one hour prior to services Monday.
